Play the Ball As It Lies


The second fundamental principle of golf is to play your ball as it lies. Pretty much everything in the lessons before this one are exceptions to that principle, but when relief is not allowed or is not being taken, you generally must take care not to deliberately touch or move your ball in play. This lesson covers how to determine whether your ball moved, what caused it to move and what to do if you caused the ball to move.
