Round 2, Question 4 - Embedded Ball

A ball is embedded only if it is in its own pitch-mark made as a result of the player’s previous stroke and part of the ball is below the level of the ground.

A player is never allowed relief for an embedded ball when the ball is embedded in sand in the general area.

If a ball is embedded anywhere other than the general area, the player is not allowed relief under the embedded ball relief Rule (16.3b).
