PGA/USGA Workshop Description
- Three-day workshop
- Access to either the 100-Question or 80-Question Exam on the morning of the fourth day (or online on a date you select from the exam schedule, available here.)
- Access to the Virtual Rules School video recordings
Attendance
- Be sure to sign in on the official class roster at the start of all morning and afternoon sessions each of the first three days.
- PGA of America members must enter their PGA eight-digit member number next to their name on the attendance roster and attend the workshop in its entirety to be credited with 24 Professional Development Requirement hours. No partial credit is given by the PGA of America.
Dress Code
Business casual recommended. Please no blue jeans, sweatpants or t-shirts.
Room Rate
- $139/night – a limited block of rooms is being held for workshop attendees at this rate. If you intend to stay at this hotel during the workshop, it is strongly recommended you make your reservation a soon as possible. If all rooms in the block become reserved, additional rooms may not be available at this or a higher rate. On November 16, 2022, any unreserved rooms will be released back into hotel inventory.

Breakfast and Refreshments

Expenses

About Your Instructors
Rob Ockenfuss, USGA
Rob joined the Rules staff in 2011 and currently serves as a Senior Manager, where he supports the USGA’s governance functions through the interpretation and application of the Rules of Golf and Rules of Amateur Status. Rob has been a speaker at PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops since 2012.
Alice Miller, PGA
Alice worked as an LPGA Tour Rules Official after her playing career. She is currently serving on the PGA of America Rules Committee and the Philadelphia Section Rules Committee. Alice has officiated at KPMG PGA Women’s Championship, PGA Assistant Professionals National Championship, LPGA T&CP National Championship, NCAA Division I National Championship, in addition to local and regional events. This is her third year as an instructor for the PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops.
Mark Clouse, USGA
Mark is a Class A PGA Golf Professional and is a member of the National PGA Rules of Golf Committee, actively officiating golf tournaments nationally and instructing workshops on the Rules of Golf. In 2003, Mark relocated with his family to the Dominican Republic after accepting a position as Director of Golf at Guavaberry Golf and Country Club, and in 2006, he became the Director of Golf at the Punta Espada Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus designed course located on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic that is a Top 100 ranked facility. He currently serves as the Director of Golf at Walford University in Forest City, Iowa.
