PGA/USGA Workshop Description
- Three-day workshop
- Access to either the 100-Question or 80-Question Exam on the morning of the fourth day (or online on a date you select from the exam schedule, available here.)
- Access to the Virtual Rules School video recordings
Attendance
- Be sure to sign in on the official class roster at the start of all morning and afternoon sessions each of the first three days.
- PGA of America members must enter their PGA eight-digit member number next to their name on the attendance roster and attend the workshop in its entirety to be credited with 24 Professional Development Requirement hours. No partial credit is given by the PGA of America.
Dress Code
Business casual recommended. Please no blue jeans, sweatpants or t-shirts.
Room Rate
- $184/night – a limited block of rooms is being held for workshop attendees at this rate. If you intend to stay at this hotel during the workshop, it is strongly recommended you make your reservation a soon as possible. If all rooms in the block become reserved, additional rooms may not be available at this or a higher rate. On January 6, 2023, any unreserved rooms will be released back into hotel inventory.

Breakfast and Refreshments

About Your Instructors

David Staebler, USGA
David joined the USGA staff in 2007 and since 2010 has been the Director of Rules Education. As part of that role, he is the primary author of the PGA/USGA Rules of Golf workshop presentations and has been teaching PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops since 2008. David has officiated at all 14 USGA Championships, as well as the Walker Cup match, The Open Championship (British Open) and the PGA Championship. He has been a volunteer official for GAP, previously the Golf Association of Philadelphia, for over 30 years. He has played in 3 USGA Championships

Brad Gregory, PGA
Brad is the Director of Rules for the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships. In 1998, he was appointed to the PGA Rules Committee and served as Vice Chair 2005-2010 and Co-Chair 2011-2014. Brad has served as a Rule Official at over 160 National or International Championships, including 42 Majors, seven Ryder Cups and two Solheim Cups. He’s a two-time winner of the Southwest Section PGA’s Professional Development award for work in member education. Brad has been inducted into the Iowa Golf Hall of Fame. He has taught 34 PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops since 2000.

Kathy Brown, PGA
Kathy Brown is currently a member of the PGA of America Rules Committee. She also serves on the PGA Jr. League Competitions Committee and the PNWPGA Section Rules Committee. As a 9-year PGA Member Professional, Kathy is the Assistant Professional at Coeur d’Alene Golf Club in Coeur d’Alene, ID. She works an average of 5-6 tournaments each year which have included the PGA Professional’s Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the PGA Jr. League National Championship. This is her first season as a PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshop Coordinator.
