PGA/USGA Workshop Description
- Three-day workshop
- Access to either the 100-Question or 80-Question Exam on the morning of the fourth day (or online on a date you select from the exam schedule, available here.)
- Access to the Virtual Rules School video recordings
Attendance
- Be sure to sign in on the official class roster at the start of all morning and afternoon sessions each of the first three days.
- PGA of America members must enter their PGA eight-digit member number at registration or next to their name on the attendance roster and attend the workshop in its entirety to be credited with 24 Professional Development Requirement hours. No partial credit is given by the PGA of America.

- $144/night (includes parking) – a limited block of rooms is being held for workshop attendees at this rate. If you intend to stay at this hotel during the workshop, it is strongly recommended you make your reservation a soon as possible. If all rooms in the block become reserved, additional rooms may not be available at this or a higher rate. On February 8, 2025, any unreserved rooms will be released back into hotel inventory.

Breakfast and Refreshments
A complimentary continental breakfast, including at least one hot item, will be provided each morning starting by 7:10 a.m. During scheduled breaks, complimentary coffee, tea, water and soft drinks will be provided.
Expenses

About Your Instructors
Bill McCarthy, USGA
Bill serves as the Championship Director for the U.S. Mid-Amateur and U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championships and served as the Championship Director for the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship from 2004 through the championship’s retirement in 2014. Bill joined the USGA staff in 1996 as the Director of Regional Affairs for the Ohio Valley Region. He also serves in a Rules and operations capacity at the U.S. Open and as staff in charge of the stroke play co-host course for the U.S. Amateur Championship. Bill also serves on the USGA Future Amateur Sites Committee for which he travels the country to evaluate potential host sites for USGA Championships. In his more than 25 years as a member of the USGA staff, Bill has worked over 100 USGA Championships. He has been an instructor at PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops since 2012 and is the USGA lead instructor at the biennial PGA/USGA Officiating and Tournament Administration Workshop.
Robin Curtis, PGA
Robin is a PGA Quarter Century Member who has worked for the PGA of America as a Rules Official for the PGA Winter Championships and Winter Tournament Series since 2003. She was the first female PGA member appointed to the PGA Rules Committee in 2016. In this time, she has been an instructor and coordinator at numerous PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops. She has officiated at six PGA Championships, countless PGA of America events and is the first female Committee Member to have chaired three national PGA of America events.
Payton Brandenburg, USGA
Payton joined the USGA in February 2022 as a Rules Coordinator where she assists with Rules Education and Amateur Status. Payton also serves in a Rules Capacity at USGA Championships. Prior to joining the USGA Payton graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Sports Business and Event Management.
