Play the ball as it lies.

Play a ball from where the previous stroke was made with a one-stroke penalty.

Play a ball which was dropped outside the penalty area back-on-the-line from the hole through where the ball is estimated to lie in the penalty area, going back as far as the player wants.

Play a ball which was dropped outside the penalty area back-on-the-line from the hole through the point where the ball last crossed the edge of the penalty area, going back as far as the player wants.
