USGA Introductory Workshop registration includes:

  • USGA Introductory Workshops are offered periodically throughout the calendar year and are conducted fully virtually (not in-person).
  • Registration includes:
    • Approximately 4 hours of on-demand video recordings
    • Two one-hour webinars with your expert instructors on your selected dates.
  • Fee is $25.

Transfers

If you are unable to attend the Introductory Workshop that you registered for, you may transfer to another open program on the Introductory Workshop schedule:

  • Prior to the start date of the workshop you are transferring from, there is no charge. This can be done online prior to the registration deadline. After the registration deadline, this can be done by calling 908-326-1850.
  • Due to the virtual nature of these workshops, you are unable to transfer after the workshop has begun.

Withdrawals

If you need to withdraw from an Introductory Workshop (and don’t wish to transfer), you can request a refund as follows:

  • $25 refund: If requested prior to the first day of the workshop. This can be done online prior to the registration deadline. After the registration deadline, this can be done by calling 908-326-1850.
  • After the workshop has started, no refunds are available.

Study Materials

The study materials available for this workshop include:

  • On-Demand Video Recordings – These recorded videos contain approximately four hours of content and should be your main study and learning material for an Introductory Workshop. Access to this video content will be sent to you upon registration.
  • Rules 101 (https://rules.usga.org/product/rules-101/)- This completely free, online course will take you through the basics of the playing Rules with approximately 4-6 hours of content.
  • Resources on the USGA Rules Hub (http://www.usga.org/rules) – The USGA Rules Hub website has an array of videos, infographics, papers, charts, answers to FAQs, Rules Quizzes, and much more.
  • Rules of Golf Mobile App – Free mobile app for iOS and Android devices that includes the full content of the two publications listed above as well as a robust search feature.
  • GeneralArea.org – A website created by Rules expert Dr. Lewis Blakey. It contains essays on a variety of Rules topics, study aids, Rules quizzes and more. It is available at http://generalarea.org/.
